Beginning with the revolt in Canton (Guangzhou, Guangdong province) in April 1911 led by Huang Xing, this historical drama concludes with the resignation of Sun Yat-sen as provisional president of the republic in early 1912. Also shown are the revolutionary Lin Juemin of the Canton revolt and female characters Qiu Jin, Xu Zonghan and Chen Yiying (Lin's wife). |
