| Summary: | A local mobster forces Guo and his wife to flee their home and the couple is separated from Baimei and Hongmei, their twin daughters. The two girls are themselves separated and raised by kindhearted families. Years pass and Hongmei is jailed for killing an attacker in self-defense. The imprisoned sisters meet and find them having matching pieces of a plum flower embroidery left by their mother. Hongmei begins performing after 1949 and unexpected meets her father whom she has not seen for more than 40 years. The family finally reunites after the three rind them having perfectly matching pieces of plum flower embroidery. |
